6 Of The Best Adventure Activities In Koh Phangan

When people think of Koh Phangan, the first thing that comes to mind is sandy beaches and neon paint-covered parties. While this may be true for a majority of visitors, there is much more to Koh Phangan than elephants and hangovers. Here are five adventure activities you must experience when visiting the island.

Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan Snorkel Tour by Speedboat

If you’re looking for an adventure activity that is a little more relaxing than some of the other options on the island, this may be the one for you. With only 10 guests per speedboat, this tour allows you to enjoy a meal and snorkelling in two unique locations.

Koh Tao is one of the most popular islands in Thailand. It has been a destination for backpackers, divers, and travellers since the 1980s when it was first discovered. The island is covered with beautiful forests, limestone cliffs, and white-sand beaches. But what makes Koh Tao so special is its crystal clear water. The water visibility here is often over 50 m (160 ft), making it perfect for snorkelling and diving.

ATV Jungle Safari Tour On Koh Phangan

If you’re looking to experience the best of what Koh Phangan has to offer, then an ATV Jungle Safari Tour is a must-do activity. You can explore the island’s many hidden treasures, from freshwater pools to secret beaches and waterfalls. The tour will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the island, including jungles and rice fields. If you are lucky, you may even get to spot a wild elephant or monkey!

Two-Day Dive Tour from Koh Phangan to Koh Tao Island

If you want to get the most out of your trip to Koh Phangan, you should consider taking a two-day dive tour from Koh Phangan to Koh Tao Island. This tour will allow you to see two beautiful islands in less than a week, while also giving you time to relax and enjoy yourself on an exotic island.

Koh Tao Island is home to some of the best diving spots in Thailand, so this is a great opportunity for avid divers who want to experience some of the best scuba diving that Thailand has to offer. If you’re not a diver yet but are interested in learning how, this is also a good opportunity for that as well. You’ll have plenty of time during your trip to get certified and then practice what you’ve learned during your time at sea.

Classic Bike Tour of Koh Phangan

If you’re looking for something a little bit different on Koh Phangan, take a bike tour. The Classic Bike Tour of Koh Phangan is an easy ride with a friendly guide who will show you all the most beautiful parts of the island. It’s perfect for those who want to see as much as possible without exerting too much energy.

Kiteboarding

Kiteboarding is a sport that originated in Hawaii, where it was used as a way to get around between islands. When the sport was brought over to Koh Phangan, the island’s people found that they could use it as a means of transportation as well as recreation.

Kiteboarding at Accrokite Koh Phangan is the only school affiliated with IKO on the island, the world biggest kiteboarding organization. They have an amazing location with a lagoon and beautiful views of the surrounding islands. It is also located close to some great places to eat and drink after your lesson.

4WD Adventure

If you’re looking for an adventure activity in Koh Phangan that is a little more sedate than white water rafting, and a little less tiring than zip lining, we have the perfect thing for you.

Koh Phangan Excursion 4WD car pickup is a great way to see some of the best parts of the island without having to hike your way there. You’ll get picked up by a 4WD and driven around the island while your guide shows you all the sights. We recommend taking this excursion on one of the days when you don’t have much planned—you’ll be able to see so much more than if you’re rushing around trying to get stuff done!

Not only does this excursion show off some amazing views of Koh Phangan, but it also gives you time to sit back and relax before heading back home from your vacation.

Koh Phangan Best Beaches

Koh Phangan’s beaches are some of the best in Thailand. With soft white sand, warm water and plenty of space to relax away from the crowds, there’s no wonder that these beaches are so popular among the locals and visitors. Here are some of the best ones.

so popular among the locals and visitors. Here are some of the best ones:

Haad Khuat

Haad Khuat, or Bottle Beach, is one of the least accessible beaches on Koh Phangan. You can get there by longtail boat from Chalok Lam or hike for about three hours to get to Bottle Beach.

Hiking to a beach sounds like a great idea until you realise that the trail is steep and rocky and takes you through a thick jungle—and then you’ll probably wish you’d just paid for the longtail instead. But if you’re up for it and make it to the top of the trail, your reward will be an isolated beach with calm turquoise water and soft white sand.

Haad Salad

Haad Salad is a beautiful beach northwest of Koh Phangan, famous for its white sand, coral reef, and laid-back atmosphere.

The beach is between Haad Rin and Haad Tien and is only accessible by boat from either location. The beach is quiet, with hardly any people around, and it’s perfect for those looking to relax in a calm place away from the hustle and bustle of other beaches on the island.

Haad Yuan Beach

Haad Yuan Beach is a small beach on the east coast of Koh Phangan. The bay is popular for snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing. It has a rocky outcrop in the middle of the bay. A bamboo walkway twists and turns over the rocks, leading to unique local shops and restaurants.

You can walk down to Haad Yuan Beach from Haad Rin or Haad Tien beaches in about 15 minutes. There are also tuk-tuks available if you don’t want to walk.

The beach has excellent facilities, including toilets, showers, changing rooms and a restaurant serving Thai food with views over the sea! You can rent snorkelling equipment from here too!

Haad Yao Beach

Haad Yao Beach is a small beach on the northwest coast of Koh Phangan known for its white sand and clear blue waters. It’s also a great place to relax and swim, snorkel and watch the sunset. There are a few food stalls along the beach where you can grab some lunch or snacks before heading back to your resort or hostel for dinner. The best thing about Haad Yao is its location – it’s not too far from any of the main tourist areas such as Thong Sala or Chaloklum Bay, so if you want to spend some time relaxing, this is an ideal spot.

Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach

Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach is known for its stunning sunsets, but it’s also a great place to watch the sunrise. The white sand stretches for about 1 kilometre (0.6 miles), making this an ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling—but if you’re looking for more than just a day at the beach, Thong Nai Pan Noi has plenty of diving sites nearby too!

If you visit during turtle season from July through October, there’s even more reason to stop by. Sea turtles come here yearly on their migration route from Indonesia to Thailand’s eastern shores for nesting season. About 50 dugongs live in shallow waters near this beach, too—so keep your eyes peeled when you’re out exploring!

Haad Rin

Haad Rin is a peninsular beach area and town on the southern tip of Ko Pha-ngan, an island in the Gulf of Thailand. Its two main beaches are Sunset Beach to the south and the larger Sunrise Beach to the north.

The Full Moon Party is an event that takes place every month in Haad Rin; it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions on Ko Phangan, with thousands of people attending every month. The party starts at sunset and ends early in the morning when everyone goes home to sleep off their hangovers (if they can manage it). It’s a huge party—there are DJs playing music all night long, and there are even some stages set up so you can dance if you want to!
